1. Publisher of the service

The GeoTask service is published by BDDev, a sole proprietorship registered in France.

Contact email: contact@geotask.fr

Hereafter "the Publisher".

2. Purpose of the service

GeoTask is a mobile application for managing tasks associated with geographic locations.

The application:

  • allows creating and viewing tasks,
  • associates certain tasks with a location,
  • triggers local notifications when the user is near a defined place,
  • offers premium features accessible via in-app purchase (In-App Purchase).

3. Access to the service

Access requires:

  • a valid Google account,
  • authentication via OAuth2,
  • acceptance of these terms of use.

The user is solely responsible for the security of their Google or Apple account.

4. Geolocation operation

The application may use the device's background geolocation to compare the current position with tasks that have a location.

Important details:

  • Location is processed exclusively locally on the device.
  • No location data is transmitted to GeoTask servers.
  • The user may disable geolocation at any time via device settings.
  • Disabling does not prevent use of non-geolocation features.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Certain features are accessible via subscription or in-app purchase.

Payments are made exclusively via IAP Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Transactions, billing and refunds are handled by these platforms in accordance with their own terms.

GeoTask does not have access to the user's payment data.

6. Suspension and termination

The Publisher may suspend or terminate access to the service in case of:

  • violation of these terms of use,
  • fraudulent or abusive use,
  • attempt at reverse engineering or bulk data extraction.

The user may terminate at any time by:

  • deleting their account,
  • revoking OAuth authorizations,
  • cancelling their subscription via the purchase platform.

Subscriptions already committed remain due for the current period.

7. Intellectual property

The source code, trademark, logo, interface and graphic elements of GeoTask are the exclusive property of the Publisher.

Any reproduction, modification, reverse engineering or unauthorized exploitation is prohibited.

8. Liability

The service is provided "as is".

The Publisher cannot be held liable for:

  • service interruptions,
  • malfunctions related to Google APIs,
  • unavailability of Vercel platforms,
  • store failures,
  • data loss resulting from deletion by the user or a third party.

No guarantee of continuous availability is provided.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms of use are governed by French law.

Any dispute falls under the competent courts of the jurisdiction of the Publisher's registered office, unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions.
